CKay initially broke into the scene as a record producer but added singing and songwriting to his artistry. His sophomore extended playlist, CKay the First released in 2019 spawned hit song, "Love Nwantinti (Ah Ah Ah)". The remix which featured Joeboy and Kuami Eugene took TikTok by storm and resulted in it charting in various countries across the globe. It eventually became the first-ever African song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify and has since been deemed 'the biggest song in Africa.'
